Something i have come across lately but am still yet to do but will be for sure.

Children like to dress themselves when they get to a certain age. And usually at this same age they like to get their own clothes out and sometimes their choice can make a mum cringe. You know what i mean they come out in lime green shorts, a orange poncho and hot pink boots (exaggeration i know but you get my drift).

Well how about this...... lay out your kids clothes as outfits that you like or approve of eg: jeans t-shirt and jumper etc and take a photo, get all photos printed out and then blue tac the photos to the inside of the childs cupboard door, this way all they have to do is look and pick which outfit they want to wear and they know exactly what to put on.

It still gives them the independence of picking their own clothes but you the knowledge that they are going to look respectable.

I just cam across this tip for cleaning the oven.

To clean oven:
  • sprinkle with bi-carb soda
  • spray with vinegar and clean
  • clean as normal (but without the harsh chemicals)
To clean the oven shelves:
  • put a few old towels in the bath (so the bath doesnt get scratched)
  • put shelves in bath on towels
  • sprinkle with nappy-san
  • cover with enough HOT water to cover shelves
  • leave 1 1/2 hours and then give a scrub
I cannot take the credit for this tip i got them from another blog written by: The Organised Housewife, who with the help of her awesome blog i am trying very hard to turn my house from chaos to calm.
